7th grade Consumer Science and Leadership Description:

Students learn how to assume increasing responsibility for their own growth and development. The seventh grade class will focus on managing personal transitions through developing goals for themselves as well as evaluating their relationships with peers.  We will discuss strategies for setting smart and realistic goals, caring for children, choosing healthy meal options, making smart decisions, communicating effectively, and managing conflict.

 8th grade Consumer Science and Leadership Description:

Students learn how to assume increasing responsibility for their own growth and development.The class will analyze their personal assets and plan strategies to increase these assets that make them caring, healthy, confident, and responsible people.  Topics include:  goal setting, career search, leadership, nutrition, and financial literacy.
