Math: 

In first grade, students are learning a variety of things in math ranging from adding and subtracting within 10 to knowing their shapes. Students will be participating in an interactive learning environment where every student is challenged and held to high expectations. Math instruction will be differentiated to fit the needs of each child to ensure enrichment.   

Science:

The students will be learning a variety of science topics that will be integrated within literacy. Students will dive into non-fiction writing and understanding the real world that is around them. With a mixture of whole group and small group, hands on activities; students will explore the environment they live in.
