In Geometry, we explore shapes and space in the world around us. Our journey takes us from lines and planes to triangles, circles, and conics. We also look at transformations of these figures and constructions of different types of shapes. Honors Geometry is similar to Geometry, but we move faster, students are challenged at a higher level, and we cover more topics and topics with additional rigor. Primarily, we take a more thorough look at Logic and Proofs throughout the entire curriculum.
In Algebra, we expand upon our knowledge of functions and expressions from Algebra 1. Topics include factoring, functions, linear programming, piecewise expressions, exponentials and logarithms, square root functions, solving quadratics, quadratic transformations & modeling, fractional exponent expressions, radical functions, and polynomial graphing & solving.
