American History Description:
We will be covering a wide range of topics in American History. Our main focus will be the time period from the European discovery of North America to Reconstruction (approximately 1877). Topics of focus include English colonization, the thirteen colonies, the American Revolution, our new nation, the War of 1812, westward expansion and manifest destiny, the Civil War, and the Reconstruction period after the war.
