Science Grade 8:
This class consists of three units: Physical science, Earth science, and Life science. Physical science includes the types of energy, speed, acceleration, motion, and forces. Earth science consists of rock study, landforms, causes of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, and Earth models. Life science incorporates how rock records and fossils help us learn about the past, and how the genetic makeup of animals have adapted over time for survival. These units will be comprised of teacher-led instruction and demonstrations, student-centered lab word and experiments, online learning, whole class discussions, partner/group work, and individual application.
